Issues and Distractions
This post, the first since the end of February, will be about various topics, beginning with the fact that I have been busy with two major things that meant I didn't have a lot of time to update this site: doing what is necessary (as a home school mom-teacher) to get our daughter into college, and the fact that a close relative had a serious health crisis over the past few weeks, and overnight visits meant away-from-computer time. But in the meantime I've kept up with "the issues" over the internet and talk radio...meaning I've had to sift through a lot of BS and distractions. Further, I know I had said in a previous newsletter that ObamaCare wasn't an important issue and it likely wouldn't pass anyway. As corrupt as I knew this government was, I had no idea that they'd be this corrupt: the "Slaughter Solution"? "Reconciliation" through passing a bill no one has read (with Pelosi saying they had to pass the bill to find out what was in it) and can be changed after it passes? Why do I have a feeling "slaughter" is appropriate? Suffice it to say my lack of concern about ObamaCare was wrong-headed!
This activity only means one thing to me: that Obama and his minions really, really will do whatever is necessary to force all Americans to buy "healthcare." If the "Slaughter Solution" and "reconciliation" don't work, all the Big O has to do is sign an executive order. In fact that might be what he's planning to do, so why the charade with the "Slaughter Solution"? Just become dictator, for God's sake, and be done with it! Just sign an executive order repealing the Constitution, and be done with it! Why in the blue blazes, Mr. Obama, are you pussy-footing your way through this? Because it's fun?
But at least, for now, Massa hasn't taken away our right to go fishing. But there is a reason that the "Obama is taking away our right to go fishing" story originally posted on ESPN carried such credence. For one thing, as Andrew Wilkow said on the radio last week, this man will do anything for any group that whines about any issue close to his heart, such as the environment--as long as it doesn't get in the way of what the oligarchs are planning. If the World Wildlife Fund or PETA or the Nature Conservancy whine loud enough about "overfishing," then expect the Big O to threaten something. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease," is how Wilkow put it. Look at all the things Obama promised to do: end the war in Iraq, close Gitmo, public option in health care, justice for Palestinians, recognize Cuba, end the power of lobbyists, turn the economy around, no more bailouts, etc. (Yes, I know there was no way he'd so all of this, and when he put Rahm Emmanuel in power I knew he was BS-ing about the Palestinians!)...But Obama has done NONE of these things! NONE! Why? Because he is a SLAVE to whomever owns him! And, because of this, I have absolutely NO RESPECT for this guy. And because I have no respect for Obama, I fully expect him to sign an executive order forcing Americans to buy "health care," even if folks don't have the money for food, water, and shelter. Even if it means every senior citizen, who paid into Medicare and Social Security, has to do without their checks. Folks, I fully expect to NEVER get back what I put into Social Security!
And, futher along in this rant, I fully expect that many Americans will cheer his signing a mandatory health insurance bill. That's because many Americans of lower income do believe that Obama's plan will indeed "give them free healthcare." Well, good for them...but, dangnabit, someone has to pay for this! And, believe me, it won't be Bill Gates and George Soros. No. It'll be everyone who makes $88,000 a year for a family of four, and above. It'll be senior citizens and baby boomers who have contributed to Social Security and Medicare most of their lives, who won't be seeing the "benefits" they put into because these programs will be cut severely, and perhaps even done away with (unlike Ron Paul's plan, where anyone who put anything into SS and Medicare will be reimbursed, when these programs are shut down, as maybe they should be. NO! It is more likely with this government that the money you put in will just be confiscated. We are in several trillion dollars of debt, you know!). It'll be veterans of foreign wars who had been promised that any wound they suffered would be paid for by the government when they signed up, and have, many of them, been left in the lurch. And it'll be almost everyone who still thinks the government not only can fix all problems, but is entitled to fix all problems! It'll be anyone who doesn't realize this one simple fact:
THIS COUNTRY IS SEVERAL TRILLION IN DEBT! HOW WE GONNA PAY IT? HAND EVERYTHING IN THE COUNTRY OVER TO CHINA AND THE REST OF OUR CREDITORS AS PAYMENT?
So this brings is to the two main and really only issues: the national debt, and reclaiming liberty. Unless some issue is relevant to reclaiming liberty (and stopping mandatory health insurance IS relevant to reclaiming liberty!) or, at the very least, managing the national debt with an eye to doing away with it (in other words, abolishing the Federal Reserve Bank and having Congress coining money as per the Constitution), then it is a secondary issue at best or a distraction at worst. But along with preserving the liberties we still have and reclaiming the rest, the following issues go hand and hand: family, wise use of resources including gardening, ending land grab and bogus "eminent domain" claims, small scale community organizing (not to be confused with ACORN!) and preservation, home schooling, preparation for whatever might come along, and promoting peace and neighborliness. And the issue of actual, real life, private sector jobs, so that folks-as-taxpayers actually have incomes that can be taxed, goes hand in hand with paying off the debt. Sorry, folks, but if you think the oligarchs are gonna let the US cancel its debt (as odious as it is, which means as "odius debt" it ought to be cancelled! Or, at least force the Fed and the criminal class to pay it off!), you just might be in denial.
Finally, I hope to be posting again soon, and the next time I hope to bring up just what is really in the Constitution since so many talk radio heads and tea party types keep on bringing this ol' document up. I've been reading and studying it, trying to understand why so few folks nowadays want to defend it. In fact, with the 70 percent or so who live by some kind of federal government derived benefit, I can see why so few of them would even consider defending it!
