Back For Another Year. Plus: Memorial Day: When Patriots Work Under Ruling Criminals

This domain was set to expire June 8, 2010, but I renewed it just in time, yet not without getting messages to the effect that this site was dead in the water. Are you kidding? If this site is dead in the water either it got smothered by Deepwater Horizon spilled oil or I killed it myself. (But I am no longer posting links to articles for comment purposes on the "comments" site...even though I have requested folks comment on posts on the comment site--the Wordpress site--folks would rather send e-mails and are no longer posting there so from now on, send e-mails instead! I'm not wasting my time posting on the Wordpress site if no one is posting comments there. So I'm no longer posting the link to it and will remove the site at some point.) Now, why would I kill this site? Because it costs money, for one thing, which I don't have a huge amount of--yet it doesn't cost a lot of money, soooo....And, oh yeah, I've been really busy lately and that's why my last post was the beginning of May, which was about a month after the post before that. But, finally I got some time. Not only that, I have some actual news: the effect of using the semaspore organic biological agent that we used to control grasshoppers last year (you can get it from Planet Natural or perhaps you local nursery) has carried over to this year as well.

Yes, we do have small "nymph" grasshoppers around again this year, but far fewer. Last year they were everywhere and by the time we got our first batch of semaspore it wa almost too late to preserve many of the greens and pinto bean plants in the garden, but we managed to save it with almost daily new doses of the stuff--using open ended coffee and other cans (open at both ends) as "traps" for the grasshoppers hungry to eat the "oat bran" the substance was processed with. This year, we've put it out again--as well as the semi-organic "Eco-Bran" placed on the outside perimeter of the garden (use gloves when dispensing and wash hands immediately after because this stuff is onlypartially organic). So far, grasshopper damage is minimal...of course it isn't even June yet. Will I be able to make the same good claims about this stuff in another month? Or will the grasshoppers come in late this year and inundate the garden? Stay tuned.

And now to reprise my last post, wherein I claimed that the new anti-immigration law passed in Arizona is a bad law because it will allow racial profiling. Well, since then I have "read the bill" as so many on rightwing talk radio have exhorted listeners to do, and, guess what? Either I was wrong or the bill was changed in time to disallow racial profiling. This is what is in the bill, SB 1070:

"For any lawful stop, detention or arrest made by a law enforcement official (LOE) or agency of this state or political subdivision of this state in the enforcement of any other law or ordinance of any political subdivision where REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS that the person is an alien who is unlawfully present in the US, a REASONABLE ATTEMPT shall be made when practicable, to determine the immigration status of the person, except where doing so would hinder an investigation (whatever that means!)...a LEO or agency of any political subdivsion or state agency may not consider race, color or national origin in implementing the requirements of this subsection (which is section 2, title 11, chapter 7 of the Arizona Revised Statutes petaining to Article 8 of the Enforcement of Immigration Laws)...A person is presumed not to be (an illegal alien) if the person provides to the LOE one of the following: valid Arizona driver's license (or any valid govt. issued ID), tribal menbership document, or any other Arizona issued ID." The ruling prohibiting "racial profiling" is again repeated in Section 3 subsection C."

So, yes, this 19 page law DOES APPEAR to prohibit racial profiling! Yet, if Will Grigg's article is true and not the product of his private agenda, it also appears that racial profiling could still be in use if the LOE thinks he can get away with it. And what constitutes "reasonable suspicion" except for perhaps the race (is being Latino a "race" anyway?), color (brown skin, as in "driving while brown"), or national origin, and the foreign language to back that up? So that, while the law APPEARS to prohibit racial profiling, how does one assess reasonable suspicion EXCEPT by using racial profiling? Guys, if I am just splitting hairs here, let me know with a reasoned argument, not ad hominem attacks!

It is Memorial Day Weekend: When Patriots Work Under Ruling Criminals

If anyone STILL needs proof that our Federal Government is ruled by criminals and psychopaths, and has been for many many many years, I now provide further evidence with the following story links. This piece by Counterpunch's Alexander Cockburn follows on a major expose' in the American Conservative by Sydney Schanberg, of the New York Times at the time his Cambodian media colleague Dith Pran was taken by the Khmer Rouge and sent to one of their concentration camps and nearly killed as one of the one-third of the population that did die at the hands of Pol Pot, a story of course which inspired the movie The Killing Fields. This new piece is about how McCain, Kerry, Nixon, Kissinger, and others have betrayed Vietnam-era POWs who are still incarcerated in Vietnam and Laos--many of them, of course, have been tortured, starved, and worked to death there--because of a "technicality" in the Vietnam war peace agreement: apparently, the Vietnam govt. was willing to release them if the US under Nixon paid certain war reparations. But Nixon was unwilling to do that, so these POWs were never released. Then there is the Gulf Oil Spill/Gusher/Chernoyl. I can only speculate on how much of this is BP's fault and how much is the US government's fault. Or Halliburton's. Still, blame the Army Corps of Engineers for Louisiana, which has wanted to do so since Hurricane Katrina, not having a barrier reef to keep the sludge out of wildlife areas and the Mississippi Delta region. Also read this piece at Bayou Buzz about how the state might do it anyway. Then there is the case of Obama "firing" National Intel Chief Admiral Dennis Blair, and, as usual, Christopher Story gets to the crux of it. If you have nothing else to do this weekend, go to his World Reports site and start reading the last ten or so articles to understand just how criminal this government is.

But this isn't just about the criminals in the US government; it is mainly about the patriots who still try to uphold their oaths to the Constitution. First and foremost, Congressman Ron Paul from my son's wonderful Congressional District 14 in Texas: Galveston, Victoria, Lake Jackson and points in between. Then, as per Story's piece, you have Admiral Dennis Blair whistleblowing on information that proves that certain high government officials have taken bribes to assure that they will keep "settlement" money from being released, linked at his World Reports site. Part of those settlement funds are supposed to go to members of the Black Farmers Association, members of which were denied Department of Agriculture funding due to racial discrimiation, which had successfully sued the Feds years ago but have never been paid. With Obama in the White House, black farmers have been expecting to be paid, but this hasn't happened yet...and I'll believe they are paid when I see them being paid! But I am not holding my breath! Other patriots who really do uphold their oaths to the Constitution include various government whistleblowers trying to report and get at the truth of 9-11. There is more than enough evidence out there to claim that the only "conspiracy theory" on 9-11 is what the Federal government has propagated as "truth." In the book "Ground Truth," a 9-11 Commission member has stated that the 9-11 Commission Report is bogus, which I have reported before (Google it if you don't believe me). In this article here is a pretty good compilation of statements made by various govt. folks exposing government 9-11 lies. Also you have George Criles of the CIA writing a very important book, "Charlie Wilsons's War," which lays irrefutable claim to the notion that it was the US that funded and trained Osama bin Laden and Al Qaida using the proxy of Pakistan's ISI intelligence service. Read the book (and to heck with the movie), and find out Criles actually states that the event of 9-11 was planted in helping the Mujahadeen fight the Soviets in the 1980s. And there are other truth-telling patriots in the federal government.

Finally, here is to all Consitution-minded federal government full- and part-time employees who do their jobs with the American people, first and foremost, in mind, whether or not they serve in the military. Here is to rescue relief workers during Hurricanes Katrina and Ike who lived in tents and worked in not-the-most-sanitary-conditions (mold, for instance) in their makeshift clinics, and, of course, those who worked the Haiti earthquake in and out of Haiti. Here is to all FBI folks who actually do solve crimes and actually do help put criminals, including some of their own, on trial. Here is to CIA folks who do the same thing and do not violate the Constitution. Here is to all military folks in places of war that do not go out of their way to hurt civilians, do not torture "enemy combatants" or refuse to do so. Here is to all Campaign for Liberty workers trying to help state governments fight ObamaCare or bring about state movements that will help set up the Article V Conventions that are necessary to get all this unconstitutional stuff that's been passed the last 50 to 100 years repealed, the Federal Reserve Act in particular, and others not affiliated with that organization doing the same thing. Here is to all state and federal government candidates for office who are running under Constitutional principles, seeking to replace "establishment" candidates with almost no national leadership support (I refer here mostly to those running on the Republican ticket because there is yet no viable third party to run under, but there might be some independents, and maybe, even a Democrat or two). And here's to a friend of mine who served in Vietnam, later with the DEA, who told me the truth about the CIAs drug running operations in Vietnam and Central and South America.

And here is to the readers of this site who, I think when the chips are down, will do their part to "take America back" for We the People.
