All I have to say is this: Prepare |

For the past few months, you may have noticed I have not posted every week, the way I used to. For one, I have vowed, sort of, to stop commenting on every last political notion that has come up--unlike the last two years when I commented on all the doings of the 2008 Presidential race--because how many times does one have to say the same thing over and over again (the system is rigged, therefore, disregard or get out of it as much as you can)? And how many times do I have to warn about a group I called THEM, but now can safely say "them" because "they" have already lost "their" control over when "they" will institute their stupid "new world order"? Illuminati? Folks, we are beyond worrying about those critters (but let Alex Jones and his ilk keep making big bucks keeping us fearing this crew...I mean, Hal "FBI" Turner was exposed; Alex "control the opposition" Jones is right around the corner). Every time I think about the validity and reliability of their "one world" everything I have to laugh. The corruption they are sowing is so all encompassing that the seeds of its own destruction are already built in. Since God creates evil (Isaiah 45), He controls it, not some idiot "illuminists"! What we really need to worry about is how we are going to deal with neighbors when what we ought to be preparing for what comes down, first, and then concern ourselves with BS local bureaucrats and petty Hitlers, second. Then again, the other reason I haven't posted as much as I would like (and vowed I would) is because in the last two months, I have had headaches almost continually. It is very hard for me to work on the computer when headaches strike. But now I know why I've had three times the headaches I've had before, as I will explain. |
The main reason--there are others but I don't need to go into these here--for all the headaches turned out to be that our refrigerator was slowly dying, failing to keep our food cold and fresh. Without any notice, one night I looked to get some ice cream out of the freezer, and I noticed that the ice cream was melting! Two hours later, the ice cream was completely melted. Then I touched the milk in the frig and it was barely cool. But it wasn't just possible bacteria build-up. The frig was on constantly and it was making ever louder whiny noises, which, along with stressing me out was giving me tinnitus like you wouldn't believe. Plus, the weather was unstable. The headaches I was getting were not typical migraines which start at the temples. These began in the back of the right side of the head where stress headaches usually begin. Further, I know the frig going on the fritz was the primary cause because when we got out new frig early last week, the headaches pretty much disappeared. Was it the rapidly degraded food? The noise and tinnitus? Probably both. Further, when I have headaches like that I don't take my usual daily mile-long walk, and that's not good for my health, either. |

I have learned just the other day that more and more "VIP" type folks are moving into this area. The Big Bend region is becoming more and more well known for its movie and music celebs: Tommy Lee Jones, the late Patrick Swayze, Mick Jagger, and various others own property out here amd have for years and in fact on occassion (such as the artsy-fartsy art festivals in nearby Marfa and Alpine) some of these folks come out and show themselves to us regular folks, no disguises, as if they feel comfortable enough among us. Now it turns out that former "high up mucky-mucks" in the federal and state governments are moving out here, and that a former Ambassardor to Mongolia and a few other places has bought property and intends to live in our mountain subdivision. "This guy knows things are gonna fall apart," I was told. |
So, are you, reader, prepared in case it does? I don't know if things will "fall apart" or not, but like I always say, "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst." In case you haven't seen a comprehensive checklist of items you might want to have around if the worst happens, here is a good start. |

Since I want to get this post up as early as possible and put up another one next week, I will close with a few comments on recent events, starting with a comment by a writer who lives in the Four Corners area and that I pretty much agree with most of the time, Mike Gaddy. Though I think the "tea party" and "town hall" movements are a way to express oneself in displeasure over how the government continues to want to control our lives, there really are limits as to what these things can accomplish and, unfortunately, are NOT uniting left and right the way it is proported they are. Like me, Gaddy sees the hypocrisy of the right being "angry" at the government ONLY when Democrats are running it, just like he sees the hypocrisy of the left "doing something" only when the Republicans are running it. As much as tea party supporters would like to think all types of Americans support them, not just Republicans, fact is media tools like Keith Olbermann are right when he says this movement really is about anger over Democrats. Folks, this isn't the whole truth but there is a lot of truth to it. For one thing, the biggest promoters of these events are on radio formats such as XM's "America Right." Perhaps the biggest promoter is Glenn Beck, who has somehow managed to succeed in remaking himself into a Ron Paul type libertarian, and who was once a war mongering neo-con (and if you heard his BS yesterday on FOX News on why we need to attack Iran, you'll agree he still is!). I agree with what Beck says a lot of the time, but I am NOT falling for his "co-opt the opposition" stuff. Neither is Gaddy, who writes on Beck's "leadership": "When Clinton was in office, we had Limbaugh, O’Reilly and Hannity; when Dubya was in office the opposition found solace in Olbermann; now the opposition finds a new friend in a much richer and suddenly reformed Beck. Believing one has a proponent in the national limelight keeps many on their couches and out of the streets." It IS nice that Beck retracted his anti-Ron Paul stance, and apologized to the man, and it is nice that he appears to be on "our side", but, still, beware of where he might be leading us to. Gaddy also wrote, "It was rumored that during the Dubya administration, a congressman in a western state voiced his written concern to the administration concerning the departure of the Republican Party from its core beliefs and supporters, especially those who supported the Second Amendment and opposed abortion. Supposedly, this representative received a memo from the desk of Karl Rove stating: 'Do not concern yourself with those who support the Constitution and oppose abortion, they have nowhere else to go'." Yes, we do, Mr. Rove: out of the system! |

Despite shrill cries of "conspiracy theorist!", the "9-11 Truth" movement is (IMHO) getting stronger and more viable. None other than former Reagan Under Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts defends the notion that the government lied about 9-11, thusly: "What I find puzzling is the people I know who do not believe a word the government says about anything except 9/11. For reasons that escape me, they believe that the government that lies to them about everything else tells them the truth about 9/11. (Without actually saying it, he is referring to sites like LewRockwell.com and Antiwar.com--DL) How can this be, I ask them. Did the government slip up once and tell the truth? My question does not cause them to rethink their belief in the government’s 9/11 story. Instead, they get angry with me for doubting their intelligence or their integrity or some such hallowed trait." Why bring this up? Because it is all over the Internet that a member of the 9-11 Commission, John Farmer, auther of "The Ground Truth: The Story of America's Defense on 9-11," who was privy to the government's "9-11 Commission Report" now claims that the report is mostly bogus, based on government lies! Further, former FBI chief investigator for the Murrah Building bombing in Okie City in 1995 and other such crisis, Ted Gunderson, has said (in this video) that the bombing of the WTC in 1993, killing 6 and injuring 1,000s, really was a CIA/NSA inside job and implies that since certainly the CIA/NSA/Bush Administration MUST have known about the 9-11 attacks in advance, as did MI6 and Mossad, that they could have had a hand in that, as well. This makes the "inside job" argument a hellava lot more credible than just the rantings of an Alex Jones. |

And while I do have issues with Jones, it is very cool that his sidekick James Bermas and that group has been up in Pittsburgh covering how thousands of cops with Long Range Acoustic Devices (LTAD) that can split an eardrum are making a mockery of freedom of speech being used by a thousand or so protesters. Not only that, but ordinary Pittsburgh residents are being terrorized as well, including college students while on their campus far from the demonstrators. Must be post-9-11...in the old days--the 70s--"law and order types" would've said: "You don't need all those cops--just send in the Steelers!" |

And, if you think that's funny, here is one to wonder about: how will the economic crisis affect the NFL? MLB? The NBA and the NHL? In another year or two, who will be able to afford season tickets? In fact, the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars team has not sold enough season tickets per game to have the games televised, and several teams just barely sold enough. Should we "send in the Patriots"? Too late, I'm afraid (besides, I have a funny feeling the Pats aren't what they used to be). But it is football season, sooo...Go Aggies! |
Finally, Philip Giraldi's great interview with FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds is now up at the American Conservative for viewing by all. If nothing else has convinced you just how corrupt Congress and so much of the rest of FedGov is, maybe this will. That's okay, though; it isn't too corrupt to fail, and that's the important thing. |
But I won't hold my breath until they start doing what they used to do back in the old days: jail these traitors! |
