Out-Rising, Part 3

This newsletter on getting out of the system spiritually will be the hardest post yet, but I have put it off long enough. Because although I really want to tell everyone to "get right with God" that would probably have the opposite effect: there have been too many Christians throughout history who have tried to force or cajole people into "getting right with God" and all they wound up doing was creating more atheists! In fact, my ridiculous Roman Catholic upbringing DID make me an atheist for several years (along with other things...but when you grow up in a household with a Catholic mother and Episcopelean father, in what used to be called a mixed marriage, arguaing over the "fallibility" of the Pope just about every Sunday, and when your brother's girlfriend is told by a Priest at Confession that she is going to "hell" for "eternity" because of "making out," and when in first grade at Catholic School you are put on line to receive "the spanking machine" but fortunately the bell rings before that happens---and may other issues I have with the Catholic church that "made" me become an atheist early in the 1970s). Crisis, of course, "brought me" back to "the Church" and then later, made me "a Christian" in the 1980s after getting married (to my husband who, at the time, was under the sway of a fundamentalist preacher who was very "end-times eschatology" oriented...as are most preachers out here in far west Texas), but I did not have a true "conversion experience" until fear gripped me a few months before the ROT standoff: either I was going to jail because I had at first initially supported McLaren but then "fell away" from his obvious money laundering and arms deal scheming with "the Washitaw Nation" (aka "the Washiteria"), or I was going to be killed by one of McLaren's supporters (and I have received death threats over this) if I gave a deposition against him, which I did prompting the threats. So, on the last weekend in February, 1997, I "put" my life into Christ's hands and had the conversion experience. In fact, folks, I felt like I had been, "in a twinkling of an eye," "raptured," in the dictionary meaning of the word, not the (bogus?) "end times" meaning. Atheists reading this can laugh at this if they want to, "unsubscribe" if they can't handle it, or do whatever they want to do since they can't handle the truth that when all else is said and done, I wouldn't be doing this website without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

However, I will not "convert" you, that you can be sure of. Athiest readers really don't have to worry about me upsetting their comfort zones, because number one I cannot convert you, and two, I understand why you are atheist. It's just that I am no longer one of you. In fact, I never was--I just think I deluded myself. I have always felt there must be something "up there" that made itself felt in events, that brought spiritual comfort and healing, and had a calming effect. In fact, I can't even understand why some folks can even convence themselves that there is no God, there is no higher being, and that "logical" and "rational" humanity is all that there is. Any atheists reading this? I have a question: do you actually factually believe that either you are your own god or that the universe was created out of random events and after you die, that's it, nothing happens...or that science is all, and after that nothing? You mean to tell me, atheists, that you believe in nothing? The "flying spaghetti monster"? "Outer space creatures"? Do you actually believe there is no higher level of being, or is it that you think there is but are embarrassed to say so? Look, all you who seek "rationality": though I cannot "rationally" explain why I believe in God, can you "rationally" explain why God cannot exist? But I will say this: if God does not exist then I might be happier just not existing either--if all there is, is death and taxes, then you can have it. As far as I am concerned other than Christ there IS NO MAN worthy of believing in! The atheist can keep his or her cold rational world. It ain't worth living in!

Marx said that "religion is the opiate of the masses," but so is his ideology of socialism/communism, and, given the choice, I choose Christ over man and man's systems. Just think, Christ--regardless of whether you think He's the Son of God or not (my Muslim/Jewish readers, I hope, appreciate this saying)--never hated anyone, never hurt anyone, never stole, never killed, never corrupted, never swindled, never gave over His soul for money and power (as "the devil" tried to get Him to do), never turned away children, never used drugs, never forced His disciples to stick around (as with most cult leaders), never dishonored His earthly parents or siblings, never acted haughty, envious, jealous, self-righteous (and even ate with prostitutes and tax collectors), never said don't drink booze (He did, in fact, turn water into wine--not "grape joice"!), never raped, never played "mind games" on anyone, and in fact never even put Himself above the law of the time ("render unto Caesar...")--but He did rebuke the religious authorities for corrupting God's Laws and for usury, oppressing the poor and widows, etc. Atheists: IS THIS THE GUY YOU REALLY LOVE TO HATE??? Well, if you want to hate the only man who ever existed who actually did some good in this world while never doing wrong, then go ahead!

Okay, okay...maybe you don't hate Christ. Maybe it's just Christians you can't stand!

And, if you are one who calls yourself "Christian," do you love Christ but hate your fellow Christians? Do you hate those who are not Christians now but might be one of these days (Jews, Muslims, etc.)? Because (as with Philippians 2:9-11) at some point "every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess Jesus is Lord." So even if you love every single Christian while hating every single Muslim (as I have heard some Christians say), then you need to get on a different page of the Bible (try the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5, where it says "love your enemies and pray for them"). And if you love Israel but hate the Palestinians then you have your history wrong, because when Jesus lived (and up until 1948) the land he lived in was called PALESTINE!!! Even some Israeli historians are starting to realize that the folks who are descended from the original Jews who lived in that area back then might not be the majority of Jews who live there now, and in fact might be the folks called Palestinians now. This would make sense, because the only Christians still living in that area now are Christian Palestinians! Thus, these Israelis say, the Jews who lived there and stuck around after the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem remained Jews, or Christians, and then in the 7th and 8th centuries and so on during the Crusades, some Jews and some Christians became Muslims. So, any Christian who hates Arabs/Muslims (or who is "afraid" because Obama, who now looks inexorably as if, barring vote fraud, he will be our next President, is an "Arab" or "Muslim"), or loves Israel but hates Jews (as most so-called Christian Zionists do), needs to repent of their hatred. FOLKS, NO ONE GETS OUT OF THE "SYSTEM" WHILE KEEPING THEIR HATRED! God and Christ are love, and thus hate is anti-Christ: Christ said, "LOVE God and LOVE your fellow man." That sums up His two commandments (based on the original ten): LOVE.

If you are not prepared to let go of the hate for any religious or non-religious or un-religious or even anti-religious group, then I don't see where my suggesting you to get "out of the system" is going to help. Because HATE IS THE SYSTEM! Yet, I do not think I could have gotten over the hate I had (against a few individuals as well as against THEM, the oligarchs and the "Illuminati/New World Order/Nazi/Fascist/Zionist "overlords") without guidance and intercession by the Holy Spirit. Yet, I can rest pretty much assured that all the hate that there is out there, from yelling "kill him" (Obama) at McCain-Palin rallies to "hang the bankers" comments on blogposts to Wall Street "bailout" protestors holding signs saying "Jump Motherf***er" to threats of race war of Obama loses (or wins, for that matter!) and the rest of the hate is thoroughly promoted by "the system," and thus we must make an effort to give up whatever it is that makes us hate.

Don't forget, if you have a comment on this or other posts, e-mail me with your comment, and put the name of the article in the subject line.
